We have already had a busy first month in office, with a number of meetings. We held our first SC-only meeting on February 6th, followed by a consultation meeting with the Interim Facilitation Team (IFT) on February 15th and another consultation meeting with the IFT and active members of the Workgroups (WG) on February 22nd. We held our first open SC meeting (with the first half-hour open to the public) on February 27th.
We owe thanks to the ILSC Language School, Fourth Arts Block (FABNYC), and 596 Acres for lending meeting space to us.
We are currently in the process of revamping the entire NYC REIC website (which has also been moved to a new server), and we will have a page for the SC, where we will publish all meeting minutes.
Among other things, we have been finalizing a brief descriptive text about the REIC, that will be available to be adapted for different uses, wherever the NYC REIC is represented. Once it is finalized, that will also be on our website.
We are also working on various policies, so that all aspects of work around the REIC will be clear and transparent, with clear accountability. Please do come to our upcoming meetings if you can.
Aside from the ones listed above, we will be holding another SC-only meeting in March. Meanwhile, we are dividing duties and spheres of activity between us, and we will announce which of us are liaisons for which WGs and Committees, at or following the meeting on March 7th.
