The public building inventory group is focused on identifying potential properties for NYC REIC investment. At the onset, we are prioritizing properties that are publicly-owned. By focusing on buildings that are owned by the City first, we insure that publicly held assets are utilized to the benefit of the neighborhoods they are located in.
Over the summer we have identified six potential properties for investment, in four boroughs. Over the next few months, we will reach out to community groups, city agencies, and elected officials in the neighborhoods where these properties are located, to understand what uses community members envision for these properties.
